Ignite your Light

So I got a call from my ex’s girlfriend.

Lol yup- you read that right, and no it wasn’t a harsh conversation. In fact it was brief and I wish I could’ve gave her more than an “I’m sorry.” Speaking with her, it was like talking to me a year ago. I resonated with the frustration behind the call: the fear in dialing my number, the anxiety of my answer, the curiosity of what would be said, the agony that the guy I was 10 toes down for could possibly not be on the same page. I get it.

All too well I know what it is to have instinct speak one thing but emotions scramble to speak another. I wish I could’ve given her the strength and peace for whatever path she decides to take. Truly.

I wish more than anything that she and wholeness become inseparable. I hope the heartache that I struggled through does not fall so hard on her, and that she doesn’t find herself down the rabbit holes I found myself in as I tried to make sense of a broken ship. No one deserves that.

On this journey to destiny, your strides are in vain if you don’t learn the power in your reach back. **Lol yes I just made that up. What’s your reach back? Looking at another woman and seeing her from the vantage point you needed someone to see you from. Grace. See her from the place of “I resonate with where you are and if you want it, I know the path to get you out.”

I’m not saying by any means you need to go and track down women who YOU think need your hands in their life *you’re no one savior and shouldn’t carry the weight of one**, but don’t walk around so focused on you that you miss the chance to allow another woman to see your light shine.

And will there be moments where you’re like screw this light and wallow in your emotions? Absolutely. Will there be moments where you feel so uncomfortable, you don’t even know if you’re shining it right? Yup. Will there be moments that make you question if you even have a light? Yes ma’am. But guess what? Keep shining. Your fire was ignited the day you opened the door of your heart to Christ, and where there the Word is, there is light. If by chance you’ve read up to this point and haven’t invited Christ into your heart, I implore you to do so. There is no way we can collide with destiny without you girl, and it’s through Christ we have the right to do so. You don’t even have to reach out to me, let’s do this now. The Bible tells us in Romans that if we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and speak out of our mouth that Jesus is Lord then we will be saved. Nothing extreme, nothing complicated, just permission to allow your light to be ignited.

This kind of took a twist, but that pit stop is more than worth it. The light within me isn’t just for me. It’s for you too. The light within you isn’t just for you. It’s for us too. We are a community of women colliding with destiny, and we will only grow.

Love you bunches ❤️
