Can I be honest?
I’ve struggled with the words to give for this week. Apart of this journey for me is transparency not just with myself but with y’all.
Well…
For the last three weeks my life has felt like complete shambles. Everything that was once solid began to dissolve. I don’t do well with change. At all.
Have you ever been following God and felt like you hit chaos? That’s how this year has felt for me, and June was the 2.0 version.
Let’s be clear, God is not the author of confusion, but I have learned that when you are so married to how you think your walk with God is supposed to look, you create your own world of confusion.
In the creation story, God started the day with change, and because we read it in convenient verses, I think we rush over the climactic movements God made within 24 hours. He took a void and dark place and within six days, He created astrology, various terrains, creatures and vegetation, oceans and seas, colors and tastes, foods and medicines- lol huh???? I can’t even finish a Netflix show in that time frame.
In six days, what once was became something completely new. It sounds amazing, until He is pulling you from everything that once was to create something completely new. Everything is shattered to give ground for what is to be built next. Every foundation is shook and every belief tested.
God tells Abraham to pack up and leave the land of His father. This marks the beginning of their relationship and also the beginning of the legacy for the children of Israel. What if I told you that this season of haziness with God is laying down the legacy for your descendants? You just have to keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep looking to God daily.
You’re reading this, but I’m writing this entry for me. Let your hope be built on nothing less than Jesus Christ. There is nothing more stable. It doesn’t feel like it, especially in this season, but keep your focus on Christ, and let Him shape this next chapter.
How are your times with God going? How have you been feeling since starting to be intentional with Him? I’m excited for what’s coming. I’m still committed to showing up, are you?
Please say yes. It’s worth it.
Love you bunches ❤️
